Trained at the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music in Kyiv, Ukraine and at the Université de Montréal, she quickly gained recognition on the global stage, winning prizes at prestigious competitions.
Her career has taken her across Europe and the Americas, with performances in Italy, Poland, Denmark, Austria, the Netherlands, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia.
She has performed before world leaders, including the President of Ukraine, Pope John Paul II, and Queen Margrethe II of Denmark.
Kateryna is also a dedicated chamber musician, performing with the New Generation Chamber Orchestra and the Con Brio Trio, and is regularly invited to festivals as a soloist and ensemble player.
Beyond the stage, she is deeply committed to music education. Since 2003, she has been a cello instructor at FACE School in Montreal, inspiring and nurturing the next generation of musicians.
